Unity Through Sport: President Buys 30,000 tickets for Kitwe Derby

In a gesture aimed at bringing Zambians together through sport, President Hakainde Hichilema has purchased 30,000 tickets for Saturday's highly anticipated Kitwe Derby.

Copperbelt Province Minister Elisha Matambo announced the President's initiative, explaining that 5,000 tickets will go to Power Dynamo supporters, while another 5,000 will be allocated to Nkana Football Club fans.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the Minister said we “urge the public to turn up in large numbers and watch the game with the Republican President, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, peacefully.”

The remaining 20,000 tickets will be distributed to football enthusiasts across the region, with fans able to collect them from the Ndola and Kitwe district commissioners' offices.

Minister Matambo emphasized the administration's commitment to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, noting that extra security will be brought in to maintain law and order at the stadium.

The match will kick off at 15:00hrs on Saturday. Last time these two sides met back in April, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
