HH’s Plan to Employ Volunteer Workers Welcomed by Unions

The Zambia National Union of Teachers (ZNUT) acting president Richard Kinyanta said recruiting all volunteer teachers would address the current teacher-pupil ratio gap.

On Friday President Hakainde Hichilema said the government would employ all volunteer nurses and teachers next month.

The Zambia Union of Nurses and Midwives Organisation (ZUNMO) President Fray Michelo said it is the union’s desire to see every graduate employed looking at a “first in, first out” system where those who graduated first are prioritised.
