MP Binwell Mpundu Suspended for Unparliamentary Language
Binwell Mpundu, the Member of Parliament for Nkana, has been suspended from attending the National Assembly for 14 days following accusations of using unparliamentary language during Tuesday's debates.
This marks Mpundu's second suspension in recent months. He was previously barred from Parliament for one week in July for disorderly conduct. The Speaker justified the current suspension by citing Mpundu's use of the phrase "Yateke panshi tayambi lolu," among other remarks deemed inappropriate for parliamentary proceedings.
Mr. Mpundu announced his candidacy for President back in August.
