Laura Miti Has Demo Permit Denies

The Lusaka Urban Commanding Office has advised Laura Miti and her Alliance for Community Action not to go ahead with their planned demonstration outside parliament on Friday.

Miti, who has already been arrested once this year for protesting, wrote to the police to hol a demonstration to coincide with the presentation of the national budget by Minister of Finance Margaret Mwanakatwe.

However she has been strongly advised to halt these plans with the Lusaka police noting there will not be enough policeman to manage the situation.
