Protecting Wildlife Critical to Natural Heritage
Ministry of Tourism Permanent Secretary Evans Muhanga says protecting wildlife is vital to preserving the country's natural heritage.
Mr Muhanga was speaking during the Worth More Alive Wildlife Pangolin sculpture unveiling at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
He said wildlife plays a critical role in Zambia's tourism sector, adding that safeguarding it is a shared responsibility among all stakeholders.
Mr Muhanga said the Ministry of Tourism remains committed to strengthening efforts to combat illegal wildlife trade in Zambia.
The pangolin sculpture installation is part of awareness efforts to highlight the importance of wildlife conservation and the dangers of poaching and illegal trafficking.
