New Classroom Blocks Signal Government's Education Push in Luangeni

Luangeni Member of Parliament Moses Moyo has hailed the completion of two 1x3 classroom blocks at Katandala and Kamwa Primary Schools as evidence of government's dedication to raising education standards across the constituency.

The projects, funded through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), were officially commissioned in ceremonies attended by local leaders and education officials.

Mr. Moyo, who also serves as Second Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, emphasised that expanding learning infrastructure and sustaining the school feeding programme are essential to strengthening Zambia's education sector. He urged community members to take ownership of the new facilities, stressing that the classroom blocks represent a considerable public investment that must be protected and maintained.

Traditional leader Chief Chinyaku welcomed the development, pledging his continued support for government programmes in the area. He expressed appreciation for both the government and the Member of Parliament, noting that the inclusion of traditional leaders in planning and implementation reflects a respectful and collaborative approach to local development.

Chipata District Education Standards Officer Martha Kamunga said the new infrastructure will have an immediate impact on learning outcomes. She explained that the additional classrooms will relieve overcrowding, allowing pupils to study in a more comfortable and productive environment while enabling teachers to deliver lessons more effectively.

The projects form part of a broader effort to ensure that rural communities benefit from improved access to quality education through targeted CDF investments.
