World Economic Forum Congratulates President Hichilema on Re-election

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has congratulated President Hakainde Hichilema on his re-election, pledging to continue its close collaboration with the Zambian government in support of the country's development priorities.

In a congratulatory message conveyed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on Saturday, WEF President and Chief Executive Officer Alois Zwinggi said the Forum looked forward to deepening its partnership with Zambia and to fostering public-private cooperation that advances the nation's development agenda.

"The World Economic Forum has congratulated President Hakainde Hichilema on his re-election as President of the Republic of Zambia," the message read. "Mr Alois Zwinggi, President and Chief Executive Officer, said the World Economic Forum looks forward to continuing its close collaboration with the Zambian government and fostering public-private cooperation in support of the country's development priorities."

Mr Zwinggi reaffirmed the Forum's commitment to working alongside Zambia in bringing together government, business and other stakeholders to unlock investment and drive sustainable growth.

The message adds to a growing list of congratulations President Hichilema has received from international institutions and world leaders since his re-election, reflecting continued global confidence in Zambia's reform trajectory and economic direction.

Zambia's engagement with the World Economic Forum has strengthened in recent years as the country seeks to attract investment, promote private-sector growth and position itself as a competitive destination on the global stage, underlining the President's emphasis on partnership as a driver of national development.
