International Leaders Congratulate President Hichilema

Messages of congratulations and goodwill continue to pour in for President Hakainde Hichilema following his re-election for a second term.

The Commonwealth has conveyed its goodwill to President Hichilema and his administration as he begins his second mandate.

Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Botchwey has reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to its long-standing relationship with Zambia and says the Commonwealth looks forward to continued engagement in support of the aspirations of the Zambian people.

Meanwhile, His Majesty King Mohammed VI of the Kingdom of Morocco has congratulated President Hichilema on his re-election as President of the Republic of Zambia.

King Mohammed VI has also reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening the ties of friendship and brotherhood between Morocco and Zambia.

And President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah of Namibia has congratulated President Hichilema on his re-election. He said Zambia and Namibia share a special and enduring friendship.

The messages underscore Zambia’s strong diplomatic ties and continued engagement with regional and international partners.
