CDF Expansion Drives Education Projects Across Zambia

Mandevu PF MP Christopher Shakafuswa praised President Hichilema and the UPND government’s achievements since the increase of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) budget.

The impact of the CDF is significant, with citizens throughout the country benefitting from the UNPD’s decision to increase the fund’s budget.

Projects include two classroom blocks constructed in Mandevu Constituency costing K1.6 million, and others at Justine Kabwe Secondary School and Kabanana Primary School, funded by CDF allocations from 2021 and 2022.

Shakafuswa praised the government for prioritising education through initiatives including constructing classroom blocks and sponsoring skills development for young adults. He praised the classrooms, also furnished with desks.

Investing in education empowers young people and secures a brighter future for communities, Shakafuswa said.

Lusaka district commissioner Rosa Zulu said the government is committed to creating quality education through infrastructure development.

Lusaka District Education Standards Officer, Nathan Kasune, said that the new classroom blocks will provide a conducive learning environment for over 5,200 and 6,000 students at Justine Kabwe Secondary School and Kabanana Primary School.
