Police Probe Murder of Chaminuka Resort Boss

Police are investigating the murder and aggravated robbery of Chaminuka Resort chief executive Stelios Sardinis, 64.

Sardinis was attacked at his residence at Chaminuka Lodge in Chisamba District between 1:00am and 1:15am on Sunday, police spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi said.

The attackers reportedly forced their way through a glass door, assaulted Sardinis and fled with a safe containing documents, valuables and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Resort workers rushed him to CFB Medical Centre in Lusaka, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police have processed the scene and detained a security guard who was on duty as investigations continue.
