President Hichilema Unveils Special Youth Fund and Reaffirms Commitment to Peace

President Hakainde Hichilema has announced plans to introduce a dedicated youth empowerment fund in this year's national budget, while reaffirming his commitment to protecting Zambia's hard-won peace and unity.

Speaking at Community House during a meeting with United Party for National Development (UPND) youths, the President said the new fund would be created specifically for young people and would operate separately from the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC). "I will put it in the budget. It's my decision. I am not talking about CEEC. I will put a special fund for the youths," he said, in a move aimed at expanding opportunities and jobs for the next generation.

Turning to national unity, Mr Hichilema urged young people to remain vigilant and to reject any attempts to divide the country along political lines, stressing that Zambia's stability must be safeguarded by all. He assured the youths of his protection and encouraged them to stand as champions of peace within their communities.
