ZICTA Thrives on The World Stage as They Win Global AI for Good Award

Yesterday, the International Telecommunication Union hosted an awards ceremony at its Artificial Intelligence for Good Global Summit 2026. The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) was announced as a winner of this highly prestigious award. The award was presented under the Innovate for Impact Initiative.

ZICTA provides a variety of services, including promoting digital safety, enforcing cybersecurity standards, regulating telecommunications and protecting consumers. Winning this award reaffirms the positive impact the Authority is having on consumers throughout Zambia.

ZICTA's AI-driven use case was selected as one of the best globally in the AI Agents for Global Impact category. Its use case, titled 'VentureWise', is an AI co-pilot designed to support micro-entrepreneurs.

ZICTA's recognition at the awards ceremony is not only a proud moment for the Authority but also for the Zambian people.
