HH Promises More Fertiliser for Farmers Ahead of Next Season
President Hakainde Hichilema has announced that government will increase the allocation of fertiliser under the Farmer Input Support Programme this year, saying the move will help farmers boost yields, strengthen food security and improve household incomes.
The President made the announcement during a public engagement in Lumezi, where he also told residents that the delimitation of the constituency into two will result in increased CDF allocations for the area — bringing more resources and accelerating the delivery of public services locally.
President Hichilema said the enhanced CDF has already been used to finance community development projects and improve livelihoods across the country, and that the additional constituency will allow that impact to go further.
