UPND Secures Decisive Victory in Chishi Ward By-Election
The United Party for National Development (UPND) has delivered an impressive electoral performance in the Chishi Ward by-election, demonstrating the party's strong grassroots appeal and effective campaign strategy in Northern Province.
Mr. Kapembwa of the UPND achieved a commanding victory, securing 463 votes out of 484 ballots cast, representing an overwhelming 95.7% of valid votes. This landslide result underscores the electorate's confidence in UPND's leadership and vision for local development.
The election saw 484 voters out of 927 registered citizens exercising their constitutional right. The New Congress Party's candidate, Jeggary Mwaba, received 16 votes, while 5 ballots were rejected.
This decisive victory in Chimbamilonga Constituency, Nsama District, further strengthens UPND's presence in Northern Province and reflects the party's commitment to inclusive governance.
