ECZ Registers Over One Million New Voters Across Zambia

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has successfully enrolled 1,028,503 new voters nationwide as part of its ongoing Mass Voter Registration Exercise.

Copperbelt Province leads with the highest registration figures at 165,848 new voters, with Southern Province following at 143,397 and Lusaka Province at 120,026.

At a media briefing held in Lusaka on Thursday, ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro disclosed that Muchinga Province registered the fewest new voters at 46,209.

Mr. Kasaro also announced that the combined total of new registrations and updates from phases one through six has reached 2,210,056.

The ECZ announced a 15-day extension to the ongoing voter registration exercise back on November 11. It is scheduled to finish on 26 November 2025. The Commission has no plans for further extensions beyond 26 November 2025, and has urged all unregistered voters to take advantage of this final opportunity and not to leave it to the final day.
