Mongu's CDF-funded Police Station is Nearly Ready
A new police station in Mongu's Kaande Ward is 95% complete, with only finishing works remaining before the facility is handed over for use.
The Kasima Mini Police Station is being constructed under the 2025 Constituency Development Fund in Mongu East Constituency. According to the Mongu Municipal Council, the facility includes an enquiries office, police cells, bathrooms and four offices — one of which is a self-contained office for the Officer-in-Charge.
The council said the station will serve the communities of Mandanga, Kasima, Chisonga and surrounding areas, and expressed confidence that the new facility will help maintain law and order in the region.
The project is part of a broader national push to use CDF resources to strengthen security infrastructure at community level, with police posts and stations among the priority areas being funded across constituencies countrywide.
