Smart Zambia Institute Recruits Top UNZA Graduates to Drive Digital Transformation
The Smart Zambia Institute has recruited a cohort of outstanding graduates from the University of Zambia (UNZA) as part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing local talent and advancing the country's digital transformation.
The recruitment forms part of the Institute's wider strategy to develop a highly skilled workforce capable of creating innovative digital solutions designed specifically to meet Zambia's unique needs. By investing in locally trained professionals, the Institute aims to strengthen national capacity and drive sustainable digital development through home-grown expertise.
To build on their academic foundations, the graduates are currently undertaking specialised training delivered in collaboration with the Institute of Health Management (IHM). The programme is intended to enhance their technical competencies, broaden their practical experience and equip them with the knowledge required to work with emerging technologies, enabling them to develop and implement effective, sustainable digital solutions.
The Smart Zambia Institute says the initiative not only provides meaningful employment opportunities for talented young graduates but also empowers a new generation of technology professionals to tackle national challenges using locally developed innovation and expertise.
The Institute further noted that the programme reflects its long-term commitment to continuous professional development, skills enhancement and knowledge sharing. Through strategic partnerships, mentorship and practical learning, it aims to cultivate a strong pipeline of digital professionals who will help improve public service delivery, foster innovation and support the continued growth of Zambia's digital economy.
