Kamphemba Bridge Construction Reflects Government's Commitment to Development
Eastern Province Minister Peter Phiri has hailed the construction of Kamphemba Bridge on the Chama–Matumbo road as a clear demonstration of government's unwavering commitment to national development.
Speaking during a tour of the bridge site in Chama District, Mr. Phiri called on the people of Chama to rally behind President Hakainde Hichilema, emphasising that the Head of State has consistently delivered on his promises to improve infrastructure across the country.
The bridge, which has long been awaited by local communities, is expected to significantly improve connectivity and economic activity along the Chama–Matumbo corridor.
Chama South Member of Parliament Davison Mung'andu described the construction as a source of immense relief for residents, calling it the realisation of a dream the people of Chama have held for many years. He noted that the project stands as tangible evidence of government's responsiveness to the needs of rural communities.
Chasefu Member of Parliament Misheck Nyambose echoed similar sentiments, pledging his continued support for President Hichilema and commending what he called a sound and progressive developmental agenda that is transforming lives across Zambia.
In a notable show of cross-party goodwill, Leader of the Opposition and Mafinga Member of Parliament Robert Chabinga also urged Zambians to stand behind the President, describing him as a development-oriented leader and a unifier capable of bringing the nation together through shared progress.
