MTN Zambia partners with Hazida to bundle 5G home internet with smart devices

MTN Zambia has teamed up with Hazida Electronics in a new partnership aimed at making smart home technology more accessible to Zambian households.

The deal, announced at Hazida's flagship Ezone Store — now rebranded as the Hisense Brand Store — will see customers who purchase selected Hisense smart devices receive a free plug-and-play MTN Zambia 5G router as part of the package.

MTN Zambia's Chief Home and Special Projects Officer Elias Chembe said the collaboration marked an important step in bringing fast, reliable, and affordable connectivity into Zambian homes. The bundled 5G router will allow families to connect multiple devices simultaneously, enabling seamless streaming on platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube, as well as powering Wi-Fi-enabled Hisense appliances.

Hazida Marketing Manager Kaunda Kavindele said combining MTN's 5G home internet with Hisense smart devices would enhance household convenience through features such as the Hisense ConnectLife App, which allows users to manage connected appliances remotely.

The partnership comes as MTN Zambia continues to expand its 5G home internet offering, positioning the technology as an alternative to fixed-line broadband for households seeking high-speed connectivity.
