First Lady Leads Tributes Following Death of Chitimukulu's Wife
First Lady Mutinta Hichilema has led national tributes following the death of Bernadette Mwamba, wife of Paramount Chief Chitimukulu, who died in a road accident on Tuesday.
President Hakainde Hichilema announced that government will cover the funeral expenses and sent a message of condolence to the Paramount Chief, assuring the family of financial support during this difficult period.
The President's message was delivered to the traditional leader at his palace by a delegation led by UPND Alliance Partner Felix Mutati.
Mr Mutati said President Hichilema and government share in the family's grief and remain in support during this difficult time.
The high-level delegation included several Cabinet Ministers: Youth, Sport and Arts Minister Elvis Nkandu, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Minister Elias Mubanga, Water Development and Sanitation Minister Collins Nzovu, Mines Minister Paul Kabuswe, and Special Assistant to the President for Politics Levy Ngoma.
