Four Individuals Have Been Arrested in Connection with the Murder of Enock Simfukw

Police in Central Province report that they have apprehended four individuals connected to the alleged murder of a 22 year old man. A statement issued by Deputy Commanding Officer Central Province Lemekani Chirwa yesterday reported that a Nigerian national was among the four individuals apprehended.

The statement also revealed that a post mortem examination showed Enock Simfukwe’s death resulted from blunt force head injuries caused by a blunt hard object.

“On August 20, 2025, a postmortem examination was conducted on the body of the deceased… where Preliminary findings indicated that the deceased died from blunt force head injuries caused by a blunt hard object”.

The victim, Mr Simfukwe, was beaten by a mob on 16 August 2025 and later died at Kabwe Central Hospital on 17 August 2025.

Chirwa reported that the following suspects have been arrested in connection to the alleged murder: “One; male Nathaniel Barthram aged 34, a farmer and Nigerian national; two, male Gift Daka aged 23, a farm Irrigator, three; male Fortune Mutangeti aged 27, a farm Irrigator and; four, male Daniel Chilowa aged 40 of Munyama, a farm manager.”
