President Hichilema Stands With Bereaved Minister in Time of Grief
President Hakainde Hichilema has demonstrated compassionate leadership by personally supporting Minister of Fisheries and Livestock, Hon. Peter Kapala, following the passing of his wife, Mrs. Charity Kapala.
The Head of State, accompanied by First Lady Mutinta Hichilema and several Cabinet Ministers, attended the funeral service at Miracle Life Church in Lusaka's Roma residential area today, following an earlier visit to the Kapala home yesterday afternoon to extend condolences to the grieving family.
In a heartfelt message, President Hichilema described Mrs. Kapala's death as "a profound loss, not only for her family but for the entire nation," emphasizing the government's solidarity with one of its key ministers during this difficult period.
The President, drawing on his longstanding friendship with the Kapala family, offered words of comfort and urged the bereaved to find strength in faith. "We offered words of comfort, urging Honourable Kapala, his loved ones, and all mourners to seek solace and strength in the Almighty God as they navigate this painful and irreplaceable loss," he stated.
The President has called upon all Zambians to unite in prayer for the Kapala family during this challenging time, showing the government's emphasis on national unity and compassion in moments of sorrow.
