M'membe Calls for Better Quality Political Debate on Radio
Socialist Party leader Dr. Fred M'membe has expressed disappointment with the quality of callers participating in political discussions on radio programmes, urging the ruling UPND to send more knowledgeable representatives to engage the opposition.
Speaking recently, Dr. M'membe suggested that many of the callers appearing on live radio shows to defend government policies appear to be UPND-sponsored but lack sufficient information to effectively argue their positions.
"Send informed radio callers to engage us," Dr. M'membe advised the ruling party, adding that he was shocked by what he described as the ignorance displayed by some callers during political debates.
The UPND has not yet responded to Dr. M'membe's remarks.
