Congratulations Continue To Arrive For President Hichilema From Europe And Africa

Messages of congratulation have continued to reach State House from heads of state across Europe and Africa following President Hakainde Hichilema's re-election as President of the Republic of Zambia.

His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands conveyed his congratulations and expressed firm confidence that the excellent ties between Zambia and the Netherlands will continue to develop during the President's term in office, to the benefit and prosperity of citizens in both countries.

From Vienna, Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen of Austria noted that relations between the two countries are marked by friendship and trust. He pointed to Austria's first Africa strategy, adopted in June, as a historic commitment to building stronger ties with African partners, Zambia among them.

On the continent, President Ismail Omar Guelleh of the Republic of Djibouti sent a congratulatory message, as did President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, who congratulated the President on his successful re-election.
