TI-Z Commend Political Parties for Deploying Agents in 2026 Elections

Transparency International Zambia (TI-Z) has monitored political party agents, election observers and monitors at 171 polling stations across 115 constituencies.

The findings show that UPND agents were present at 91% of thhe monitored polling stations. Meanwhile, opposition political party agents were present at 89% of the monitored polling stations.

TI-Z reported that at least 90% of the polling stations had monitors or observers from local civil society organisations, churches and international organisations.

TI-Z affirmed that "the presence of political party agents and independent observers at polling stations strengthens electoral integrity by promoting greater transparency and accountability throughout the process."

TI-Z has annouced that it remains committed to monitoring developments at selected polling stations as voting continues.
