ECZ Commits to Prompt Release of Results

The Electoral Commission of Zambia has assured of timely transmission of results in line with the agreed time within 72 hours.

ECZ Chief Executive Officer Brown Kasaro has announced that thhe commission would release the results via documents to be used in the results management system.

Kasaro said in case of the discrepancies with the results to be sent from the constituencies, ECZ would send back such a document for verification purposes.

Kasaro commented that the elections had been held in a peaceful atmosphere, addressing both the UNZA situation with students facing complications and the incident in Pambashe where a candidate had gone to vote with an unregistered relative.
