Chief Sekute Calls on Zambians to Maintain Peace and Unity

Chief Sekute cast his vote this morning at Sekute polling station, the traditional leader then urged all voters to conduct themselves peacefully.

He warned against violence saying that elections should not divide communities. He added that those who have not yet voted should go out and exercise their democratic right.

Sekute polling station is reported by Presiding Officer Boyd Simunda to have opened at precisely 06:00 with voters turning out as early as 05:40.
