HH Urges Lusaka Voters to Back UPND

President Hakainde Hichilema has urged voters in Lusaka to vote for the UPND this Thursday, pledging continued development and measures to reduce the cost of living.

Speaking during rallies in Chawama, Roma, Munali and Matero, President Hichilema thanked residents for turning up in large numbers and highlighted Government’s delivery of free education, increased CDF and cash-for-work opportunities.

He said Government will continue creating jobs, expanding health facilities and schools, improving urban roads, providing safe drinking water and upgrading drainage systems to address flooding.

President Hichilema also pointed to the country’s debt restructuring and return to economic growth, saying Government is working to sustain the gains made.

On the energy crisis, he said Government is tackling the challenge head-on through an energy mix, including solar and coal, as part of efforts to stabilise electricity supply and lower the cost of living.

President Hichilema urged voters not to return to those who abused public resources, but to support the continued delivery of development.

Tomorrow, he will travel to Mandevu, Kanyama and Makeni districts engaging supporters ahead of the general election this Thursday 13 August.
