Ballot Paper Countdown: ECZ Announces New Arrival Timeline

Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Commissioner Ndiyoi Mutiti has announced the revised schedule for the arrival of ballot papers for the upcoming general election.

The Commission have said in a statement that the first consignment of ballot papers was due in Lusaka yesterday morning, Sunday 26th July 2026. However there has been a change to the chartered flight schedule by the air operator.

The Statement revealed that the two consignments which were scheduled to arrive on Sunday and Monday will instead by delivered on a single flight capable of carrying 100 tonnes. The flight is said to leave Dubai at 23:00 hrs Dubai time which is 21:00 hrs Zamian time on Monday 27th July 2026. The consignments are expected to arrive in Lusaka on Tuesday 28th July at 05:00 hrs Zambian time.

The Commissioner said that the Printer will provide more details as the flight schedule is confirmed and packing lists and shareholders will be advised accordingly.
