King's Chemicals Expands Investment with New Flour Milling Plant

King's Chemicals has invested US$14 million in a modern flour milling plant, marking a significant step in the company's broader US$15 million investment programme. Around 90% of the planned investment has already been completed through its subsidiary, King's Milling.

The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) said the investment reflects growing investor confidence in Zambia's economy and the Government's investor-friendly policies, highlighting the country's appeal as a destination for both domestic and foreign investment.

ZDA Director General Albert Halwampa reaffirmed the agency's commitment to supporting investors through business facilitation and investment incentives, enabling companies to establish and expand their operations in Zambia.

King's Chemicals Consultant Akshay Charan credited Zambia's improved investment climate and the support provided by the ZDA for the successful implementation of the project. He noted that the process of obtaining an investment licence and accessing incentives was efficient, allowing the company to deliver the majority of its planned investment.
