Seed Exports amplify Zambia’s agricultural Profile
SeedCo Zambia has exported 15 000 of seed to East Africa between June and November 2025. The company has expanded its export food print positioning Zambia as a key supplier to regional markets.
SeedCo director Grace Bwanali spoke at a media event in Lusaka said they are really proud as an industry of the “quality of our product is highly favoured and highly sought after in a lot of countries we are operating in.”
She added that Zambia is a food production hub exporting to many African countries such as Tanzania Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, and Angola.
SeedCo affirm that Zambia’s favourable climate and agricultural potential continue to make the country an important location.
SeedCo, head of marketing Grace Marie-Kalungu affirmed that the company is a strong and reliable institution, who were the first to produce the SR52 hybrid seed variety which has contributed to Zambia’s food security and agricultural productivity.
SeedCo said it is looking beyond Zambian borders as it seeks to strengthen its presence in Africa’s agricultural value-chain.
