Colonel Lungu Takes Charge of Zambia’s National Teams

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has handed Lieutenant-Colonel Kambani Lungu a major new assignment, appointing him General Manager for all national teams with immediate effect.

FAZ General Secretary Charles Chakatazya says the move is aimed at tightening the coordination, administration and overall support of Zambia’s national teams.

Lungu, who is also Chief Executive Officer of Red Arrows, will work closely with technical and administrative teams at all levels to ensure the national teams run smoothly.

Chakatazya says Lungu’s experience will be key to strengthening operations across the board.

The military officer is no stranger to football administration. He previously served as Team Manager at Red Arrows and was also part of the Power Dynamos executive committee.

FAZ says his new role will focus on ensuring that Zambia’s national teams are properly coordinated, organised and supported.
