Copper Queens to Face Zimbabwe in Women’s Four Nations Final

Today at 18:00 Zambia’s Copper Queens football team will face Zimbabwe in the Women’s Four Nations Final.

Zambia Women’s National Team coach Nora Häuptle has said the Copper Queens have been looking to build more on efficiency rather than focusing on opponent strategy.

Rachael Kundananji’s pace and confidence is said to be crucial today following a tough game against Kenya. Previously, the Copper Queens won 4-1 on post-match penalties taking them to the final today.

Copper Queens striker Prisca Chilufya emphasised giving hope to the fans and the nation today marking an important last game for them. Chilufya added that the Copper Queens are using this tournament to prepare ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) set for next month.

NOTE: The matches will take place today as planned despite the national mourning period as government has guided on the protocols to be observed.
