Mutapa Upbeat Despite Angola Setback As AFCON Approaches

Chipolopolo Assistant Coach Perry Mutapa remains optimistic about Zambia's prospects at the Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, despite Tuesday evening's 3-2 defeat to Angola.

Mutapa said the team delivered a solid performance and that the match has given him clarity on which areas need attention ahead of the tournament. Captain Fashion Sakala echoed this positive outlook, acknowledging that the team must sharpen their finishing while assuring fans that the squad is working hard to deliver when it matters.

Angola's Coach Patrice Beaumelle was complimentary of Zambia's talent, admitting his side had anticipated a difficult encounter and found the match challenging.
