HH - Six Universities Planned Under 2027 Budget

President Hakainde Hichilema has said a re-elected United Party for National Development (UPND) government would allocate funding in the 2027 National Budget for the construction of six new provincial universities.

The President said the initiative forms part of Government’s broader plan to ensure that every province has at least one public university, with the aim of expanding access to higher education nationwide.

He outlined plans for universities to be established in North Western, Luapula, Northern, Western, Southern and Eastern Provinces as part of the 2027 budget.

President Hichilema made the remarks in Solwezi during a meeting with traditional leaders, held as part of his camapaign tour to North Western Province.
