Israeli Ambassador Confirms Zambian Students Safe, Praises Country's Stability

The Israeli Ambassador to Zambia, Ofra Farhii, has confirmed that Zambian students currently in Israel on an agricultural exchange programme are safe, describing them as being in a secure desert area and fully briefed on emergency procedures.

As conflict engulfs the Middle East following the United States and Israel's large-scale offensive against Iran launched on February 28, Zambia has also received praise from Ambassador Farhii who described the country as a model of stability the world could learn from.

Speaking on Diamond TV's Breakfast show, Israeli Ambassador to Zambia Ofra Farhi delivered a striking tribute to Zambia, calling it "a wonderful country" and, from a security standpoint, "a real heaven… heaven that I have never experienced in my life."

Ambassador Farhi reflected on the stark contrast between the instability gripping the Middle East and the calm she experiences in Lusaka daily. "What we want to learn from you is how to bring stability and safety," she said. "We hope that one day it will prevail in Israel."

Under President Hichilema's New Dawn administration, Zambia has built a growing reputation as one of Africa's most stable democracies, and an open, investor-friendly environment that has attracted increasing international confidence.
