Government Signs Deal with AGRA to Transform Agriculture Sector
Government has signed an agreement with the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) aimed at advancing agricultural transformation in Zambia.
Agriculture Minister Reuben Mtolo expressed confidence in the partnership, noting that it will strengthen institutional capacities in the sector.
Mr Mtolo said the agreement will promote agricultural value chain development, improve market systems, and enhance private sector participation.
AGRA President Agnes Kalibata reaffirmed her organisation's readiness to collaborate effectively with the government in driving agricultural growth.
The partnership is expected to support Zambia's efforts to modernise its agriculture sector and improve productivity for smallholder farmers across the country.
