Zambia Receives Credentials from Four New Diplomatic Envoys

Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Hon. Mulambo Haimbe, S.C, M.P, accepted Letters of Credence from four newly appointed diplomatic representatives at Charter House today.

The ceremony saw the minister receive credentials from ambassadors and high commissioners representing Japan, Ghana, Namibia, and Colombia.

Mr. Mikami Akiteru presented his credentials as Japan's Ambassador-Designate to Zambia, while Ms. Elizabeth Nyantakyi was received as Ghana's incoming High Commissioner.

Also accredited were Mr. Goms Menette, who will serve as Namibia's High Commissioner to Zambia, and Ms. Maria del Rosario Mina Rojas, Colombia's Ambassador-Designate to Zambia. Ms. Mina Rojas will be based in Pretoria, South Africa.

The presentation of Letters of Credence marks the formal commencement of the diplomats' official duties in their respective positions.

The accreditation of these new envoys is expected to further deepen diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between Zambia and their respective nations.
