Levy Ngoma: President Hichilema’s Call for Peace and Unity is Succeeding
Special Assistant to the President for Politics, Levy Ngoma, says President Hakainde Hichilema’s message of peace and unity in Zambia is succeeding.
Ngoma commended Zambians for following the President’s call, noting that the prevailing atmosphere of calm reflects the kind of nation Hichilema envisions. He pointed to the peaceful atmosphere in Northern Province, where by-elections in three districts are set for Thursday, and urged citizens to ensure the polls remain nonviolent.
Calling on leaders across the political spectrum, Ngoma stressed the need to prioritise development and harmony in their communities to secure a prosperous future. He cited the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) as a key tool in addressing local challenges such as poor roads, limited access to clean water, and weak infrastructure.
Ngoma also praised Northern Province farmers for their resilience and contribution to Zambia’s record bumper harvest. He assured them that maize supplied to the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) would be protected and put to good use.
Highlighting opportunities beyond agriculture, Ngoma underscored the potential of the Northern Circuit’s tourism sector, which he said could become a powerful driver of growth if fully developed.
Ngoma’s remarks and engagements in the province reflect the steady progress of the President’s vision for a peaceful, secure and united Zambia.
