Auditor General: K9 Billion for Airport Unaccounted For by PF Government

The Auditor-General's report has revealed that K9 billion intended for the design and construction of greenfield airport infrastructure in Ndola, Zambia, during the Patriotic Front (PF) administration, is unaccounted for.

According to a status report submitted by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing, and Urban Development for March 2023, the PF administration entered into a financing agreement with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China for the project.

The report states that on September 11, 2013, the PF government contracted AVIC International Holding Corporation for the design and construction of airport infrastructure in Ndola, with a contract exceeding K10.5 billion for a duration of 36 months.
