President Lungu Accuses Hichilema Of Being A ‘Criminal’

The President’s Press Assistant, Amos Chanda, has released a sensational statement outlining that the President will not take part in the inter-party dialogue process whilst Hichilema is involved.

The President has failed to engage with the process since it was established, and whilst answering queries Amos Chanda said the President would not be bullied into sitting at the table. This comes despite originally agreeing to the dialogue and despite both local and international agencies encouraging the President to show willing.

Mr Chanda stated;

“You can’t engage in dialogue with rogue elements. A government has been elected with a clear mandate within the provisions of the Constitution; the President will carry on with the business of governing, and he cannot be bullied to go onto a table with people whose brain is the size of a rat! He cannot be bullied into a conversation with people like that,” Mr. Chanda said, “On the same table with a criminal? What sort of dialogue can take place?”

He continued to brand other members of the dialogue ‘criminal elements’ and accused them of starting political violence, despite footage surfacing two weeks ago that showed a state mandated attack on UPND supporters in Sesheke.
