Corrupt Chitotela Calls for Colleagues to Be Arrested Too

Sources at the ACC have suggested that Minister Chitotela has been pushing for the arrest of his Cabinet colleagues so that he does not ‘go down alone.’

On Wednesday he pleaded not guilty to corruption charges that have been levelled against him. And ACC Officers have now revealed that Minister Chitotela is determined to have his colleague Health Minister Dr Chitalu Chilufya, Local Government Minister Vincent Mwale and Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo arrested for corruption too.

Chitotela is said to have produced documents and offered voluntary information incriminating his colleagues in the hope he can lessen his sentence and send them down too.  

The evidence is said to include information on the purchase of the Fire Trucks that caused a scandal two years ago, along with a number of other controversial procurement issues. It appears he is now determined to make the administration look as bad as possible if he’s to go down.
