President Lungu Extends Invitation to Newly Elected Tshisekedi
President Lungu has extended an invite to the newly elected leader of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Felix Tshisekedi.
He invited the new leader whilst they were both attending the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
“The leaders of the two neighbouring states discussed bilateral issues and committed to helping Congo to attain durable peace and stability to foster development. The leaders also called for close bilateral cooperation between the two countries…pledged to promote trade, social and cultural exchanges for the benefit of the two peoples,” stated Inutu Mwanza, the first secretary Press at the Zambian mission in Addis Ababa.
President Lungu, who has since returned home, was in Addis Ababa to attend the 32nd Ordinary Session of the African Union Heads of State and Government Summit.
