President Hichilema Shares Dinner With Citizens Who Walked And Cycled To His Inauguration
President Hakainde Hichilema has praised Zambians for what they bring to the country, saying every citizen has a part to play in national development.
The President said Zambia is home to 21 million citizens and stressed the importance of inclusiveness and unity across the nation.
He cited two who travelled to his inauguration under their own steam. Maggie Sapatu walked from Mwinilunga to present village chicken. Jeremiah Tembo cycled from Lusangazi to be there.
The President sat and shared a meal with both yesterday, as fellow Zambians rather than as guests of the office.
"Every citizen brings something important to the table," President Hichilema said, adding that the best was yet to come.
