Nalumango Calls on Church to Pray for Peace and Prosperity

Vice President Mutale Nalumango has appealed to the church to pray for peace and prosperity across Zambia, saying prayer remains the foundation of national stability.

Speaking when she joined worshippers at Bread of Life International in Mansa's suburbs for a church service, Mrs Nalumango said it is only through prayer that citizens can continue to live together peacefully, whatever their differences.

She also urged congregants to remember the country's leaders in their prayers, noting that those in office carry responsibilities requiring spiritual support as much as public backing.

The Vice President further encouraged Zambians to make decisions grounded in knowledge, faith and a clear assessment of what has already been delivered, rather than on speculation.

Bread of Life International Regional Overseer Bishop Jameson Mangoma told the congregation that leaders are chosen by God through his favour.

Bishop Mangoma said God's favour extends to everyone, politicians included, and encouraged believers to approach national matters with the same generosity of spirit.
