TSC to Publish Teacher Recruitment List in August
The Teaching Service Commission (TSC) has announced that the names of candidates who succeeded in the ongoing recruitment of 2,000 teachers should be released during the first week of August.
Speaking to ZNBC News, Commission Chairperson Daphne Chimuka confirmed that the recruitment drive has reached its final stage of national verification.
Ms. Chimuka explained that this stage is designed to confirm that every selected candidate is a registered teacher who satisfies the requirements for appointment.
She noted that the exercise was launched with a fresh round of applications, a move intended to open the door to graduates from 2023, 2024, and 2025 and bring them into a newly created national database.
According to the Commission, the selection and validation work carried out at both district and provincial levels has already been concluded. This leaves the national verification stage as the only remaining step before the final list of successful applicants is made public.
The recruitment forms part of wider efforts to strengthen the teaching workforce and ensure that qualified educators are placed in classrooms across the country.
