Over 8,200 Offer Letters Issued as National Land Titling Programme Gathers Pace
The National Land Titling Programme issued more than 8,200 offer letters during the first quarter of 2026, underscoring the New Dawn Government's continued drive to formalise land ownership across Zambia.
National Land Titling Programme Project Manager Emmanuel Tembo said the Ministry of Lands had also processed and issued 2,500 title deeds from the offer letters distributed during the period.
Mr Tembo said the latest figures bring the cumulative number of title deeds issued since the programme's inception to 134,000, a milestone that reflects steady progress in securing legal land ownership for citizens.
In a further boost to the initiative, Mr Tembo announced that the Ministry would begin distributing 1,500 offer letters in Kabwe on Monday, 1 June 2026. He said the exercise forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen land ownership and provide greater security of tenure for Zambians.
Mr Tembo noted that the National Land Titling Programme remains a key Government initiative aimed at formalising land ownership and widening access to title deeds nationwide.
He said the programme is helping more Zambians secure legal ownership of their properties while promoting orderly and transparent land administration.
