First Lady Donates Hospital Equipment Worth K400,000 to Pilgrim Wesleyan Church
First Lady Mutinta Hichilema has donated assorted hospital equipment valued at over K400,000 to the Pilgrim Wesleyan Church of Zambia, in a move aimed at boosting healthcare delivery in underserved communities.
The equipment was delivered on her behalf by UPND Special Duties Chairman General, William Banda, during the Pilgrim Wesleyan Church Lusaka North Big Sunday Service.
Speaking at the service, Mr Banda called on church leaders to ensure that the donated equipment reaches the communities most in need. He also announced that the UPND will donate bales of clothing valued at between K20,000 and K30,000 to the Church's Lusaka, Kapiri, and Chongwe branches. The clothing will be sold to raise funds for church programmes, with members urged to honour their pledges.
Pilgrim Wesleyan Church Bishop Juden Siachitema expressed gratitude to the First Family and the UPND administration for their continued generosity and compassion towards the Church and its mission. He said the donation would directly benefit healthcare provision and wider community needs.
The contribution forms part of ongoing efforts by the First Lady to strengthen partnerships with faith-based institutions delivering essential services to vulnerable Zambians across the country.
