Musician Chiko Wise Passed Away

Zambian musician Chiko Wise has died, the music industry has confirmed.

The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Chiko Wise, whose real name was Mwenya Mwimba Chiko, was known for popular songs including "Kumanda" featuring B1, "Shintwala" featuring Afunika, and "Mukansende."

The Copperbelt-based artist was recognised for producing mature music with themes of love and relationships, and had collaborated with several well-known Zambian musicians including Dalisoul.

His music remains popular on streaming platforms across the country.
