Lumezi Commissions Health Centre Funded By CDF

Lumezi District Council has recently completed the commissioning of eight projects, including the Chamkhoma Rural Health Centre, all funded through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

These projects, collectively costing over K4.8 million, are a substantial investment in local infrastructure. Eastern Province Permanent Secretary, Paul Thole, commended the utilisation of CDF funds by Lumezi District Council, citing it as an example of effective project management. Thole highlighted the significance of such initiatives in promoting sustainable development and enhancing the well- being of residents.

In response to Lumezi's success, Mr. Thole announced plans to facilitate exchange visits among local authorities to encourage knowledge-sharing and the adoption of best practices. This initiative aims to empower other districts to replicate Lumezi's approach to project execution and community development.
